Thanks to Redditor, /u/fuzztub07, over on the /r/GoogleHome subreddit — we now have a first look at Google’s yet-to-be-announced Chromecast. The user was able to obtain the unit after Walmart began stocking the dongle before its official announcement on September 30. The dongle is priced at $49.

For 2020, Google appears to have revamped the Chromecast entirely — and began including a remote control in the package. Previously, Chromecast relied on the user’s smartphone to access and stream content. The new Chromecast has integrated Google TV, a dedicated Google Assistant button and 4.4 GB of storage.

This week, Amazon unveiled a new, low-cost Fire TV for $30, intended to expand its user base.
